Wisconsin’s Caroline Harvey capped off a dominant Olympic run with a gold medal and an MVP award as a member of Team USA women’s hockey. Harvey, 23, was outstanding in her second Olympic appearance, proving herself as a staple of U.S. women’s hockey for years to come.

1 — Caroline Harvey is the first Wisconsin Badger to ever be named as the Olympic MVP. 

4 — Harvey is one of four current Wisconsin players on Team USA, joining teammates Laila Edwards, Kirsten Simms and Ava McNaughton. They joined Wisconsin greats Hilary Knight and Britta Curl-Salemme as the six Badgers on Team USA.

2 — This was Harvey’s second Olympic appearance — she was just 19 years old when she competed for Team USA in the 2022 Beijing games, winning a silver medal. 

9 — Harvey racked up nine points in seven games, tying with fellow American and golden-goal scorer Megan Keller to lead the Olympics in points. Harvey’s seven assists also led all players. 

3 — Harvey was all over the scoresheet in Team USA’s 5-0 win over Canada in the preliminary round, scoring three points with a goal and two assists in the statement win.

14 — Harvey posted an impressive +14 plus/minus rating in her seven games, leading all skaters as the Americans outscored opponents, 33-2, including a five-game shutout streak.

22:43 — Harvey’s average time-on-ice across seven games. She led all American skaters in average TOI throughout the Olympics and was 14th overall among all skaters. Her 23:53 in the gold medal game was second only to Megan Keller.
