2026 NCAA DII softball championship: Bracket, schedule, scores

DII softball: 2026 selection show

Here's everything you need to know before the 2026 DII softball championship kicks off on Thursday, May 14. 

The championship bracket was revealed on Monday, May 11. The 64-team field will consist of 23 automatic qualifiers and 41 at-large bids. 

The tournament will conclude on Wednesday, June 3 at the Frost Stadium at Warner Park in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

DII softball championship history

The University of Texas at Tyler is the defending back-to-back national champions after claiming its second title in 2025 over Tampa. Cal State Northridge holds the most titles (4) since 1982. Check out the complete history of the DII softball championship:
